Fifteen years ago, we acquired a new facility. You might be familiar with its location, formerly the “Old Ruggeri’s” and most recently Agusti’s Restaurant. The building has been completely remodeled and enhanced to be a full service wedding reception, and party facility while maintaining the old world elegance. Many features still remain like the original 35 foot dark wood bar in the huge, separate bar room, chandeliers adorn the dining areas, and even the original coat check room is still intact.
At Favazza’s Restaurant “On the Hill,” we have been specializing in group parties, private dinners, meetings, rehearsal dinners, catering service, boxed lunches, office catering, fundraisers and holiday parties for many years. Rose of the Hill (named after our mother’s favorite flower), can accommodate up to 500 guests for your larger needs such as weddings or private events while maintaining the Favazza’s Family care and service.
We would love to show Rose of the Hill to you. Please call or fill out the form to make an appointment.
No banquet facility in St. Louis has the history of the Rose of the Hill. The building was originally the “Old Ruggeri’s” Restaurant where St. Louis celebrities dined and worked. Founded by Henry Ruggeri Sr., it closed in 1981.
In its heyday it was the hottest restaurant in St. Louis, hosting the likes of Frank Sinatra and his “Rat Pack.” Two of “the Hill’s” most famous sons, Yogi Berra and Joe Garigolia, were waiters at Ruggeri’s. In fact, one of Yogi Berra’s famous Yogiisms: “No one goes there anymore. It’s too crowded,” was about Ruggeri’s.
After Ruggeri’s closed in 1981 it became Augusti’s Resturant, which eventually closed and was purchased by the Favazza family.

No other banquet facility in St. Louis can match the history and authentic experience one can have at the Rose of the Hill.
